Laminate - Warranty Coverage and Application (Premium & Luxe)
These warranties apply to the original purchaser and the first installation of the product and may not be transferred. The commencement date for this period is the actual date of purchase, as reflected on the authorised reseller’s or distributor’s invoice/receipt provided to you.
Lakewood Flooring warrants that the product in its original manufactured condition to be free from defects in material and workmanship, including dimension, lamination and assembly as per product specification. Gloss reduction and scratches caused by regular traffic are not consider wear through and are not covered by this warranty.
The Lakewood flooring must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions. Proof of
compliance with the manufacturer’s installation and maintenance instructions must be provided if a claim is filed. These instructions can be found on the inside of the cardboard packaging or in every individual insert label or accessory packing.
If the instructions are not there, they should be requested from the manufacturer, distributor or retailer or they may also be requested through Lakewood flooring. If installation is not performed by the end user, at least one copy of the installation and maintenance instruction and this warranty must be provided to the end user by the fitter.
This product Warranty only applies to defects inherent to the material supplied. This means any material or production defects, acknowledged by the manufacturer, including delamination, reduced resistance of the wear layer, staining and colour fading. Lakewood Floors will repair or replace the product, at its option. Responsibility under this warranty only applies to hidden defects, product with visible defects must not be installed under
any circumstances. Therefore, all flooring panels and accessories must be checked carefully for material defects before and during installation. Distributor or Reseller must be informed in writing of such defects within 15 days. After this time has elapsed, no further complaints will be accepted. Lakewood Flooring will not be responsible for any labour charges incurred in re-installation of any product, any associated rectification work at any costs or labour charges relating to replacement of any flooring surface on which the product is used.
The Warranty for Lakewood Flooring is valid for 25 years, and for life on the "Valinge" clicking system of the flooring panels.
Re-painting, removal of fixtures or furniture, accommodation, waste removal and any other costs are specifically excluded from the warrantor. If the product was originally professionally installed by a Lakewood authorised installer, Lakewood Flooring will cover reasonable labour costs.
How to fill a Claim
If you wish to make a claim under this warranty, you should visit Lakewood flooring or an Authorised stockist the product was purchased from or phone on 026239 3279 between 9am-5pm AEST
Monday to Friday.
When you make any claim under this Warranty it is essential that you provide a copy of your proof of purchase of our product to our Authorised Reseller or Distributor.
You will not be able to gain the benefits of this warranty without making a valid claim. A claim must be made within 15 days of the defect or performance failure having been noticed.
Lakewood Flooring will not warrant where the defect in, or the failure of, the Product arises in whole or in part from:
a) Improper cleaning, care or maintenance of the product;
b) Unevenness caused by uneven sub-floor;
c) The subfloor not being prepared in accordance with current Australian standards or improper or inadequate application of the product;
d) Damage, intentional or accidental caused by abuse, misuse, stiletto heels, dragged objects, heavy furniture, castor wheels, dropped items, sand, stones or other foreign objects brought into contact with the product;
e) Dimensional instability within the floor-covering assembly;
f) The presence of underfloor heating, not being used in line with manufacturer recommendations.
g) Scratches or surface marks/stains;
h) Unusual man-made or natural disasters, including leaking or broken plumbing, fire, flood, earthquake or standing water occur during or after installation.
i) Damage occurs during shipping is the responsibility of the shipping company.
Australian Consumer Laws
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
